purely insane!

"Mas Selamat's escape should not have happened. But it did. And for that, i am sorry. This should never have happened. I am sorry that it has."
said DPM Wong Kan Seng in Parliament yesterday.

From before till now, i've never like the way the government run Singapore. And i think i'm losing my sense of belonging already. Why? First, they increased the prices of goods plus GST followed by taxi fares, bus fares etc. Then, they extended the working life span for senior citizens to 85. Next, they implemented the HOTA scheme for the muslims when we already know that we SHOULD come and go as what we are. And now, this!

Singapore's officially known for their tight security and crime prevention. But what had happened recently is just too much. Just one wrong move and it caused so much chaos around the nation! People are now worried about their own safety and their loved ones. And one of them is me! You got me worried about my boyfriend's safety because he has to be on standby for 48 hours although he's just a NS man. It's really not fair for him and the people who's only undergoing national service. Although it's only 48 hours, anything might have happened. The point is, that man is a fugitive. He's dangerous. And you wouldn't know that he'd planned to hold a hostage here to get his revenge back.

Since priority goes to workers with working experiences, go and get someone who's much more experience to handle this kind of situation lah!

I'm simply unhappy that this thing just happened. I mean, how neglectful can they be? Of all people, it has to be the most wanted man. Why now then they realise that there's actually a loophole in the toilet for a prisoner to escape? Just how long since they had that detention barrack? Don't tell me that the prison wardens didn't inspect the place thoroughly on and off duty, really.

It's just too much for me to absorb that this thing is happening. Really. Especially when boyfriend has to be involved.
